Plastic crates are typically returned to the production site in stacks. These stacks of crates could be on pallets, dollies or standing directly on the ground. The conveyors for receiving crate stacks are designed so that transferring stacks into the system is as easy as possible. The feeder conveyors are equipped with stack height control.

The number of feeder conveyors and their buffering capacity are scaled for smooth feeding of returning stacks into the system at different system loads.
The direction of the stack can be adjusted according to the crate type, and changed with a rotary table before feeding the stack into the system.
Stack feeding system can be automated using automated stack pallet unloader. The stacks are unloaded from the pallet automatically to the feeder conveyors and empty pallets are stacked on a pallet cassette.
